I came into this world on the cusp of the 2000s. Growing up, life was renting VHS movies from the local library, playing flash games on the family Windows XP computer, and being read BerenstEin Bears and Little Golden Books almost every night before bed.
I remember the websites I most frequented being Club Penguin, Barbie.com, Millsbury (?), and miscellaneous flash game websites. The internet to me at the time was a place to have fun, and to make friends. Eventually with my unrestricted internet access, I stumbled upon chat rooms (gained some formidable preteen life experience from a club penguion chat room... good or bad? I'm still not sure), forums, and eventually, the Big 3: Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter. Facebook was strictly for posts I would be ok with my IRL friends and family seeing, while I would embrace my nerdy annoying fangirl side on Tumbr and Twitter. I won't bore you with the many phases my tumblr blog took form of over the years, but I would defintely call myself a Tumblr Veteran.
Now that the internet has evolved into a mega capitalistic, "can't-do-anything-without-an-ad-being-shoved-down-our-throats" place to be, I've been yearning for the aesthetics of 2000s internet. I don't want to "girlboss", I just want to make silly things that make me happy!
Hobbies include listeing to music, watching shows, crochet, jewelry making, browsing the world wibe web, baking yummy treats, hanging out w my cat , hugging my bf, and more !
